Lucy Halterman Beverage, 88, of Verona and formerly of Highland County, died March 4, 2005 at her home.
She was born February 27, 1917 in Highland County and spent most of her life there before moving to Verona in May 2004.
She was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Emma Wagner Halterman.
Mrs. Beverage was a homemaker. She was a member of Seybert Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Sidney United Methodist Church.
Four brothers, Lloyd, Gilbert, Ridy and Herbert Halterman and two sister, Cora Rexrode and Violet Propst, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Cyril Beverage of Verona; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Betty Beverage of Palmyra and Melvin and Nancy Beverage of Staunton; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Mike Widner of Verona; five grandchildren, Robert Beverage, Kathy Hildebrand, Mark Beverage, Troy Perryman and Josh Widner; two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Ashley Hildebrand; a sister, Treva Rexrode and many, many nieces, nephews and dear, dear friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Hellen M. Zottoli and the Rev. Mike Sullivan.
Burial will be in the Beverage Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Berlin, Jim, David, Wayne and Bob Beverage and Ben Ralston.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and relatives attending the services.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home, 53 Confederate St., Verona.
