Louise Virginia Marion, 71, died Sunday, September 9, 2001 at Oak Hill Center.
She was born October 29, 1929, at Highland County, a daughter of Oliver Luther and Elva (Mullenax) Mullenax.
She grew up in Bartow, West Virginia, and graduated from Green Bank High School. She attended Moody Bible College, Chicago. She has worked at Western State Hospital, and she had also worked as a storekeeper. She was a member of the Staunton Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earlie T. Marion, who died November 13, 1985; and a brother, Ralph Mullenax.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Pam Marion of Verona; two brothers, Eugene Mullenax of Brownsburg and William Mullenax of Staunton; two sisters, Katherine Lilly of Florida and Stella Collings of Chesapeake; a grandson, Adam Marion; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathon and Michelle; two step-great-grandchildren, Joshua and Luke Thacker; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Moore officiating.
Burial will be in at the Mullenax Family Cemetery on Allegheny Mountain, Highland County.
Pallbearers will be Adam Marion, Jonathon Showalter, Robert Lilly, and Edward, Alan and Ralph Mullenax.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
