Ruth S. Pullin, 88, of Cumberland Md., died Sunday, June 14, 1998 at her residence.
She was born on October 26, 1909, at West Virginia, a daughter of Andrew Milton and lula (Feaster) Simpson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Pullin in 1972. six brothers, Paul, Elvin, Mark, Kewis, Kenneth and Wood Simpson; two sisters, Grace Chedester, Alma Martonsick; and a step-grandchild.
She was a member, a member of Bedford Road Baptist Church and foster mother to many children.
Survivors include a son, William M. Pullin; a daughter, Ruth A. Puffenbarger, four brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Virginia, John and Dot, Darrell and Elanor, all of Cumberland and the Rev. Marvin and Mary Simpson of Graham, N.C.; a sister, Phyllis Warnick of Cumberland; a sister-in-law, Nell Simpson of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Mary Whitacre and husband, Frank, Larry Haines and wife Golda, all of Augusta, WV, and Blaine Haines and wife Judy of Sunderland; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 tonight at Scarpelli Funeral Home and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, at Obaugh Funeral Home.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bedford Road Baptist Church, Cumberland, byy the Rev. Marvin Simpson.
A service will be conducted at noon on Thursday at Clover Creek Cemetery, McDowell, by the Rev. Marvin Simpson.
