Agnes Arnette Gutshall

Agnes Arnette (Phillips) Gutshall, 61, of Staunton, died Friday night, December 11, 1987 at King's Daughters' Hospital. 

She was born Jan. 5, 1926 at Nottingham, WV, a daughter of the late William Clarence and Bertha Rachel (Ruckman) Phillips. 

Mrs. Gutshall was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Blue Triangle Club, the Augusta Chapter 3842 AARP and a member and past matron of Beverley Chapter No. 78 O.E.S. and the Sarah Murray Lewis Chapter N.S.D.C.R., Warm Springs. 

Surviving are her husband, Clement Leon Gutshall of Staunton; a son and daughter-in-law, George Hunter and Sarah (Weaver) Gutshall of Boones Mill; a sister, Mrs. William G. (Alma) Applegarth of Frankfort, Ky.; a brother, Julian Hunter "Jack" Phillips of St. Albans, WV; and one nephew, Donovan E. Shrader Jr. of Campbellsville, Ky.

 A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Monterey United Methodist Church by the Revs. Betty Johnson and Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ralph Rexrode, Danny Carter, Elton Oliver, Bruce Ralston, Thurman Wilson, Robert Hartsook, Curtis Gutshall and Luther Bosserman.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell.
