Alfred "Al" Whitson

Alfred "Al" Whitson, 77, of Leesburg, formerly of Deerfield, died Monday evening, Aug. 22, 1968 at Loudon Hospital Center. 

He was born April 9,1911 in North Carolina, a son of Monroe and Nellie (Adkins) Whitson.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lina Revercomb Whitson of Leesburg; a sister, Louise W. Johnson of Reva; and a brother, Francis Whitson of Deerfield. 

A service will be conducted 2:30 p.m., Thursday in the Reveroomb Family Cemetery in Deerfield by the Rev. Mark Holder. 

The body is at the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell where friends may call at any time. 

Pallbearers will be nephews.
