Mrs. Alma Margaret Hull, 77, of Monterey, died Thursday night, Dec. 31, 1987 at her home. 

She was born April 5, 1910 at Vanderpool, a daughter of the late Clinton R. and Mamie (Hite) Gutshall. 

Mrs. Hull was a member of Monterey United Methodist Church. She had also served as Sunday school superintendent at Trinity Church at Vanderpool for a number of years. She and her husband owned and operated Hull's Service Station and Grocery Store in Monterey for 40 years. She was a member of Mountain View Extension Homemakers Club. 

Her husband, Moffett Hull, preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1987. 

Surviving are a son of Staunton; two sisters, Mrs. Madeline Marshall of Staunton and Mrs. Marie of Richmond; two brothers, Carl W. Gutshall of Monterey and Clement L. Gutshall of Staunton; and two granddaughters. 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gay and Roscoe Gutshall.

 A graveside service was conducted 3 p.m. Sunday in Monterey Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Gue and the Rev. Jerry Ginn.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Robertson, Grant Woods, Jake Maots, A.P. Gum, Ernest Terry and Dick Eagle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Moats, John Reynolds, Andy, Junior and Ralph Gutshall, Jack Herold, Bill Smith, Dr. T.E. Billingsley, Jon, Robert, Tandy, Jason and Micah Ginn, Shannon Maloy, Eldon Galford, Clarence Sipe, William Huffman, Tom Wilson and Mack Ratcliffe.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Highland Rescue Squad, Monterey, Va. 24465.
