Amy Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Knott

Amy Elizabeth (McLaughlin) Knott, 66, of Newburg, MD, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 1988 at Physicians Memorial Hospital in LaPlata.

She was born November 8, 1922 at Mustoe, Va., a daughter of John Boyd and Indiana Mae (Corbett) McLaughlin.

Mrs. Knott was a member of the Moose Lodge in Waldorf, and was retired from IBM.

Survivors include four sisters, Effie Elder of Jacksonville, Fla., Opal Heuser of Mustoe, Ivy Waggy of Waynesboro, Va., and Glenna Cauley of Hot Springs, Va.; three brothers, Clem and Gale McLaughlin, both of Mustoe, and Delmar McLaughlin of Central Square, NY; seven nephews and eight nieces.

A funeral service will be conducted at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. George Polhill. Butial will be in the McLaughlin Family Cemetery at Mustoe.

Pallbearers will be William Wagg, Clement Waggy Jr., Jeffrey, Jerry, Steve, and Timmy McLaughlin, James Elder and Buddy Hunt. 

The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
