Arnie Alice Eye

Arnie Alice Eye, 95, of Staunton and formerly of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 1990 at Staunton Manor Nursing Home.

She was born May 8, 1894 in Highland County, a daughter of James K. Polk and Mary Jane (Simmons) Eye.

She was a member of Monterey Presbyterian Church and had been employed at the Monterey Hotel before her retirement.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by four grandchildren and a number nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Frank Hall, with burial in White's Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Curtis, Milford, Jerry and Charles Rexrode, Toby Conner and Nelson Simmons.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the servicce at the funeral home.
