Benjamine Alred

Benjamine Burrell Alred, 70, of McDowell, died Monday, January 13, 1997 in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 14, 1926, a son of James and Elizabeth (Davis) Alred of DeRidder, La.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Hicklin) Alred; daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Charles Terry and Helen and Gilbert Myers; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Alred was a local farmer and retired Naval Officer.

Memorials services will be at Obaugh Funeral Home, Saturday, January 18, 1997 at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
