Boyd Stephenson

MONTEREY, VA Boyd Wilson Stephenson, 91, of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013, with his daughters at his side. Born on November 15, 1921 to Boyd and Harriet Stephenson, he was a lifelong resident of Highland County, where he operated a successful cattle and calf business on his sustainable farms. He served in the United States Navy in World War II with the Merchant Marines in the Pacific and Atlantic. He is survived by three sons, Steve, Frank and Thomas Stephenson; two daughters, Somers and husband, Steven Fullerton and Charlotte and husband, Richard Shamrock; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Blanca Stephenson; his niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lucius H. Stephenson II and his sister, Louise S. McKee. A private service will be held.
