Brittany Elizabeth Young

Brittany Elizabeth Young, 32, of Franklin, WV, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024 at her home.

Born July 15, 1992 in Low Moor, Va., Brittany was the daughter of Dottie Elaine (Turner) Young of Franklin.

An “outdoor country gal,” Brittany loved all things hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed attending sportsman’s shows, truck and tractor pulls, and county fairs. Additionally, she loved playing softball and attending concerts with her big brother. Other favorite pastimes included time spent riding around enjoying the country roadside, spending time with people and animals, horseback riding, watching movies, and talking to all her friends, both near and far, on Facebook. Above all, Brittany will be remembered for bubbly personality, constant friendships, and perpetual smile.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Terry Turner of Blue Grass, Va.; aunts, Darlene Sue Hise of Staunton, Va. and Tammy Hoover of Ronceverte; several cousins; as well as many friends, including Dave Ellis and Jeff Lambert.

She was predeceased by her grandparents and uncles.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, December 6, 2024 at Obaugh Funeral Home with pastor Bobbie Jo Gardner officiating.
