Brooks Hershel Stone

The funeral for Brooks Hershel Stone, 74, of Harrisonburg will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.

Pastor Arnold Holgersen will conduct the service. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery near Moyers, WV.

Mr. Stone died February 10, 1994, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 6, 1919 at Moyers, WV, and was a son of Harry A. and Nancy Rebecca Rexrode Stone.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church near Moyers, WV and retired in 1985 from Walker Manufacturing Co. after 23 years of services.

On January 25, 1948, he married the former Dorothy Moats, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Deborah J. Shank of Stuarts Draft; two sons, Darrel Stone of Harrisonburg and Harry L. Stone of Glasgow; two sisters, Marry Emma Simmons and Ruth Dunkle, both of Moyers, WV; a brother, Woodrow Stone of Harrisonburg; and four grandchildren.
