Carrie Ella Hull

Mrs. Carrie Ella Hull, 95, widow of Harvey Hull, formerly of McDowell, died Thursday morning, November 3, 1988 at Liberty House Nursing Home, Harrisonburg.

She was born February 4, 1892 at Moyers, WV, a daughter of the late Martin and Catherine (Puffenbarger) Simmons.

Her husband, William Harvey Hull, died September 20, 1969.

She was a member of Doe Hill United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Adeline A. Hull of McDowell; two grandchildren, France Hammer and Steve Hull, both of McDowell; six great-grandchildren, Heather, Billy, Stephanie and Bobby Hull, and Amy and Alisha Hammer, all of McDowell.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in Doe Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Steve McMillion, with burial in Doe Hill Cemetery.

The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Joe and Bobby Neil, Steve Hull, Dale Hammer, Richard Botkin and Delbert Armstrong.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Blagg, Homer Siron, lester Botkin, Nelson Simmons and Douglas Shrader.

The family will receive friends at any time at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell ot at the Hull residence.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Highland County Rescue Squad.
