Charles Clyde Botkin Sr., 39, died Sunday morning, October 28, 1990 as the result of an automobile accident.
He was born January 23, 1951 in Thornwood, WV, a son of Clyde R. and Violet (Whitmire) Botkin. He was was a production worker at Genicom. He served in Vietnam and was in the Marine Reserves.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Ruth Botkin of Verona, whom he married June 26, 1971; a daughter, Melissa D. Botkin, at home; a son, Charles Clyde Botkin Jr., at home; a sister, Patsy Botkin of McDowell; three brothers, Roger of Head Waters, David of Crimora and Michael Botkin of Stuarts Draft.
He was preceded in by sister, Polly Sue Botkin in November 1955.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren in Crimora by the Rev. John Foster.
