Charles Leon Ralston, 60, of Monterey, passed away Saturday evening, June 17, 1989 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born January 22, 1929 at Mustoe, a don of Louie R. and Mazie (Robertson) Ralston. His wife, Louise (Pugh) Ralston, preceded him in death June 26, 1986.
He was a member of the Green Hill United Methodist Church, the Mill Gap Ruritan Club and the U.S. Army and was employed as a security guard for Virginia Power.
In addition to his parents of Monterey, survivors include a daughter, Sherri Lynn Lowry of Monterey; two sons, Charles Michael of Middleport, Ohio and Ronald Lee Ralston of Monterey; a sister, Lois G. Hevener of Hightown; a brother, Meredith Ralston of Salem; and one granddaughter.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Jerry Ginn and C. William Cox. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 Monday at the funeral home in McDowell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Rescue Squad or the Highland Cancer Society, Monterey, Va. 24465.
