Clarence “Wilmer” Hise, Jr., 63, of Staunton, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at his home. He was born December 26, 1943 at Meadowdale a son of the late Clarence Wilmer and Lena Virginia (Halterman) Hise.
Mr. Hise served in the U.S. Army. He had worked at Allied Ready Mix Company and was a former member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Hise.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Darlene Sue (Turner) Hise; a daughter, Crystal Gayle Hise of Caseyville, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Jason and Shyla Hise of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Hunter Christian and Chloe Elizabeth Hise; a sister, Nancy Newman of Blue Grass and a brother, Ralph Hise of Staunton.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Green Hill Cemetery in Mill Gap by the Rev. Richard Gibson.
There will not be a public viewing or visitation. Friends may call or visit the home, 119 Greenview Drive.
Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell handled the arrangements.
