Clarice Armstrong

Clarice Virginia Armstrong, 94, of McDowell, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at King’s Daughters Community Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 9, 1914, in Bath County, a daughter of Warwick Kempton and Florence (Donavan) Burns.
On December 30, 1932, she married Dennis B. Armstrong, who preceded her in death on December 18, 1992. She was also predeceased by a son, Wade Hampton Armstrong in 1953; a daughter-in-law, Fay Armstrong in 2002; six sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker. She was a member of Edgemont Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church in Covington. She and her husband had made their home in Covington for about 30 years.
She was the last member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a son, Dennis B. “Petey” Armstrong, Jr. of Deerfield; special friends, Jane Byrd, Johnny McManamay, Clyde Beck and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 27, 2008 in McKendree Cemetery by the Rev. Dave Boger.
