Clement Malcolm

NEW MARKET, VA Clement Guy Malcolm, 90, of New Market and formerly of McDowell, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Life Care Center of New Market. He was born May 7, 1925 near McDowell a son of the late Henry Harrison and Dora Margaret (Armstrong) Malcolm. Mr. Malcolm was a farmer, who enjoyed working outdoors and tending to his horses and hunting dogs. He was a member of Highland Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mr. Malcolm was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. Surviving family members include three sons, Billy Malcolm of Augusta County, Eddie Malcolm of Moyers, WV, and Guy Malcolm of Florida; as well as his brother, Elmer Malcolm of Hagerstown, MD. A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Highland Seventh-Day Adventist Church with the Pastor Buz Menhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kyle Obaugh, Mike Moats, Darrell Armstrong, Stevie Armstrong, Bobby Pryor and Steve Gregory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Additionally, the funeral home will remain open throughout the day and into the evening on Saturday for those wishing to pay their respects.
