Curtis Bennett

Curtis Bennett, 84, of Moyers, WV died Tuesday, June 30, 1987 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. 

He was born October 28,1902 at Circleville, a son of the late Adam Jay and Nora Bland Bennett.

He was a member of the Totten Chapel United Methodist Church.

On August 11, 1924, he married the former Alpha Sponaugle, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Delane E. Bland of Wickliffe, Ohio, and Judy Mcquain of Franklin; two sons, Paul C. Bennett of Moyers and Harlan W. Bennett of Gaithersburg, Md.; a sister, Sylvia Murphey of Franklin; two half sisters, Mrs. Dice warner of Riverton and Mrs. Roy warner of beverly; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, Va. with Revs. Lowell Stovall and Bernard Skeens officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family was suggested that donations be made to the toten Chapel United Methodist Church, Moyers, WV 26813.
