Delmer Eugene Hevener

Delmer Eugene Hevener, 59, of Hightown died Wednesday morning, Jan. 25, 1989 at Hot Springs. 

He was born Sept. 10, 1929 at Hightown, a son of Maude Rexrode Hevener of Crozet and the late Oliver Sterrit Hevener. 

On Jan. 19, 1952 he married Lois G. Ralston of Hightown, who survives.

 He was a member of Hightown United Methodist Church. He was a livestock farmer and employed by Highland Oil Co. of Monterey. 

In addition to his mother and his widow, he is survived by a son, Jerry Wayne Hevener of Monterey; a sister, Mrs. Freda Shifflett of Crozet; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Wayne Hevener and Shawn Preston J Hevener, both of Monterey.

 A service was conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Gibson & Rev. Jerry Ginn with burial in Hightown Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jay Hull, Jacob and  Julian Hevener, Willie Cuckler, Ronnie Ralston, Douglas Orebaugh, Harry J. Simmons and Ronnie Moyers.
