Donna Holbrook

Donna (Harris) Holbrook, 67, of Dalton, Ga., died Friday, June 28, 1996 as a result of an automobile accident on I-81 near Bristol.

She was born March 23, 1929 at Takoma Park, Md., a daughter of Lester E. and Irene (Stroh) Harris.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She graduated from Brenstville District High School in Nokesville, Va. and earned an associate degree in elementary education from Washington Missionary College. She taught elementary school in Alexandria and Winchester and was a secretary in various southern institutions. She assisted her husband as a part-time pastor, college teacher and editor.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Holbrook of Dalton; two daughters, Beth Tires of Salton and Pricilla Jester of Asheville, NC; a son, Timothy Holbrook of the Phillippines; a sister, Nancy Malcolm of Portland, Maine; and three brothers, Lester of Riverside, Calif.; Richard of New Market, Va.; and Gordon Harris of Reading, Ca.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday in the Seventh Day Adventist Church with burial in the church cemetery near McDowell, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
