Dorothy "Dottie" Lowry

Dorothy "Dottie" Lowry, 59, of Waynesboro, died on Saturday, June 29, 1996 at AHC Hospice of the Shenandoah.

She was born on September 29, 1936 at Highland County, a daughter of Millard Ernest and Daisy Ann (Turner) Lowry

She was a member of Advent Christian Church. She worked for the Department of  Human Resources at Washington D.C. as a drug and alcohol counselor.

In addition to her mother, surviving are five sisters, Frances Lowry, Edna McLaughlin and Stella Floyd, all of Waynesboro, Peggy Weaver of Hot Springs and Patsy Lesher of Belleview, Ohio.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Bradford Moles, George Piehill and Jack Harris, with burial at Riverview Cemetery near Bolar.

Pallbearers will be Billy and Rob Weaver, Charlie and Gary McLaughlin, Buckie and Mike Lesher, Donnie Floyd and Darrell Boggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
