Douglas “Doug” Roy Earling, age 67, of Williamsville passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at his home.
He was born December 12, 1958 in Baltimore, MD, a son of Dennis Leroy and Dolores Marie (Gray) Earling of Augusta, WV.
A lifelong carpenter, Doug’s work can be seen throughout Highland County. He enjoyed trips to the Outer Banks, as well as time spent hunting and fishing. Anyone who knew him could recognize his infectious laughter. Above all, Doug will be remembered for his giving nature and willingness to help others in need, especially the elderly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann (Smith) Earling of Williamsville; his son, Joshua Wyatt Earling of Churchville; brother, Dennis Earling and wife, Crystal of Essex, MD; sister, Denise Earling of Essex, MD; step-children, Katrina Green of Monterey, Monica Burnette and husband, Mickey of Monterey and Dakota Ritchie of Monterey; step-grandchildren, Charles Green, Maverick Roberson and Maxton Burnette; as well as beloved pets.
A celebration of his life will be celebrated in Romney, WV at a later date. Family and friends may visit at the home of Patricia Earling, 13911 Tower Hill Road, Williamsville, Va.
