Elizabeth Evelyn Hicklin

Elizabeth Evelyn Hicklin, 66, of McDowell, died Tuesday evening, November 27, 1990 at Bath County Community Hospital.

She was born July 7, 1924 at Head Waters, a daughter of Owen Reese and Louie Viola (Armstrong) McCray.

Her husband O.C. "June" Hicklin Jr., died December 19, 1988.

She was a member of the McDowell Presbyterian Church, the Women of the Church and the Ladies Auxiliary in the McDowell Fire Department.

She is survived by two sisters Lucy Botkin of Head Waters and Anna Lou Ralston of McDowell; three brothers, Porter of Millboro, Leo of McDowell, and Earl McCray of Headwaters; and one granddaughter, Melissa Humphries of Fishersville.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Lester LaPrade and Steve McMillion.

Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Robert Jr., Steven and Mark Ralston, Owen and Robin Botkin, Bob McCray and William Peyton McCray Jr.
