Elizabeth "Liz" Wilfong

June 15, 1968 — October 27, 2012

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Wilfong, 44, of Bolar passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born June 15, 1968 in Staunton, a daughter of Paul A. and Frances Ratcliff Terry of Bolar.

She was a member of Hamilton Chapel Advent Christian Church and Bolar Volun- teer Fire Department. She liked to bear hunt and enjoyed painting and drawing. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandson, who lovingly called her “MiMi.”

In addition to her parents, survivors include a companion, Kenneth Phillips of Hot Springs; two daughters and son-in-law, Anastasia and Corey Lightner of Hot Springs and Alexis Wilfong of the home; two sisters, Melody Moats and husband Jerry of Monterey and Lois Warner and husband Brian of Mustoe; a brother, Andy Terry of Bolar; grandson, Colton Lightner; niece, Haley Terry; and nephew, Andrew Terry.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, and one hour prior to the funeral service.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 3, at Obaugh Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Puffenbarger officiating.

Burial will follow at Hamilton Chapel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Scottie Green, Matthew Ratcliff, Bobby Hamilton, Ronnie Selmon, Anthony Conner, Danny Rexrode and Rocky Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
