Elsie P. Corbett

Elsie P. Corbett, 85, of Mustoe died Saturday, September 3, 1994 at Monterey. She was born July 2, 1909 at Deerfield, a daughter of Albert and Josephine (Grandfield) Pritt.

She was a member of the Advent Christian Church. Her husband, Charles Harper Corbett, died in April 1960.

Surviving are four daughters, Shirley C. Verges of Monterey. Patsy C. Herold of Rockville, Mc., Malen C. Eakin of New Castle, and Diana C. Smick of Chesterfield County; three sons, Ray Harper of Mustoe, Douglas A. of Stafford County, and Martin L. Corbett of Chesapeake; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Corbett was preceded in death by three sons, R.M. “Jimmy” Corbett, Gerald Corbett and Hugh A. Corbett.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Donald Rose and Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Hamilton Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Stewart Bolling, Carlton Hull, Richard Hicks, Tommy Terry, David Hise and C.W. Hammer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Shifflett, Chris Hicks, Billy McFadden, Garry Hull, Mike Hammer and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home.
