Eugene Cleveland Moats, 59, of Baltimore MD and formerly of McDowell, Va., died Monday morning, October 8, 1990 at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
He was born August 29, 1931 at McDowell, a son of John Floyd and Mattie Emma (Simmons) Moats.
He had served in the U.S. Marines and had worked as an aluminum siding contractor for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Moats of Baltimore; a son, Larry Eugene Moats of Baltimore; a step-daughter, Bernadette Wieler of Baltimore; a sister Mabel Hatcher of McDowell, VA., and Randolph and Rembert Moats of Baltimore, MD; and three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren..
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve McMillion. Burial will follow in the Totten Chapel Cemetery near Moyers, WV.
Pallbearers will be Albert, Roger and Eddie Moats, Tom Hatcher, Lennie Siron, Steve Burns, Gary Rexrode and Steve Armstrong.
The family will recieve friends, 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
