Swoope
Florence Hoover, 87, of Swoope, passed away Saturday, May 12, 1990 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
She was born February 25, 1903 at Thorne, WV, a daughter of Noah and Caroline (Gay) Hoover.
She had made her home with the John W. Croft family at Swoope for a number of years. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Cemetery near Moyers, WV by Dr. Robert Goshorn.
Pallbearers will be Glen Jr. and Galen Botkin, Robert C. Riley Sr., Jr., Kenneth M. Wilson, Finley McCray, David Eckard and Thomas Hunter Jr.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:30-8:30 at Obaugh Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Totten Chapel United Methodist Church.
