Gilbert Rexrode
August 11, 1919 — February 27, 1995
Gilbert Russell Rexrode, 75, died Monday morning, February 27, 1995 at Augusta Medical Center.
He was born August 11, 1919 at Sugar Grove, WV, a son of David Henry and Phoebe (Simmons) Rexrode.
He worked for Croft Brothers for 15 years and was a retired farmer.
On October 5, 1957, he married Josie Lee Robinson.
Surviving in addition to his widow and three sons, David L., Michael W. and Ronald Rexrode, all of Staunton; one brother, Wilmer E. Rexrode of Crimora; three granddaughters, Amanda Dawn, Laura Elizabeth and Anna Marie Rexrode; and one grandson, Ronald Wayne Rexrode Jr., all of Staunton.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by Rev. Lester LaParade with burial in Head Waters Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home in McDowell and anytime at the home of Ronald Rexrode, Staunton.
