SUGAR GROVE, WV Henry Glen Puffenbarger, 96, of Sugar Grove, WV passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital. He was born September 16, 1918 in Sugar Grove, WV a son of the late Henry and Martha Puffenbarger. Mr. Puffenbarger had worked for the U.S. Forest Service and served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WWII. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Senior Citizens and Sugar Grove VFW 9666. His wife, Bonnie (Smith) Puffenbarger preceded him in death. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Gwendy Morris; two sisters, Reda Puffenbarger and Pauline Crummett; two brothers, Berlin Simmons and Emmet Puffenbarger. He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Morris and husband, Larry of Doe Hill and Sandra Blythe of Swoope; grandson, Travis Morris; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Bradley, Courtney Morris and Scott Morris and a number of nieces and nephews, including, a special niece, Paula Price. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church with the Pastor Jessica Felici officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. The Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard will hold military rites at the graveside. Friends may call at Obaugh Funeral Home and at Glen's home, 270 Bonnie Lane, Sugar Grove. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Jay Smith, Wayne Price, Allen Simmons, Steve Armstrong, Scotty Armstrong, Danny Crider, Bill Timbrooke and Dennis Hull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 6, Sugar Grove, WV 26815.
