MIDDLEBROOK, VA Glenn Brisen "Bunny" Kincaid, 91, of Middlebrook and formerly of Williamsville, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at his home. He was born May 11, 1922 in Highland County a son of the late Willie Myers and Stella Mae (Carricofe) Kincaid. Mr. Kincaid was a maintenance worker for George Washington National Forest in the Buffalo Gap District under the "Old Timers Program". He had also worked at Crompton Shenandoah of Waynesboro. He was a past member of Staunton Moose Lodge and a trustee with the Laurel Gap Cemetery Association. He loved to hunt and fish. Mr. Kincaid was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sisters, Esta Siron and Ethel Mae Kincaid and four brothers, Joseph, George, Russell and Paul Kinciad. He is survived by four daughters, Doris Pruitt of Staunton, Phyllis Lowe and husband, Tommy of Swords Creek, Linda Long and husband, Ronnie of Harrisonburg and Nancy Wiseman and fiancé, Loren Sprouse of Middlebrook; four sons, Bill Kincaid and wife, Judy of Mint Springs, Roger Kincaid and wife, Isabelle, who was his in home caregiver for the past year, of Verona, Ronald Kincaid and Joseph Kincaid, both of Staunton. He also is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, along with his best friend, his dog, Sparky. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Pastor Matt Hann. Burial will follow at Laurel Gap Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeremiah Wiseman, Jamie Lowe, Chuck Whitlock, Travis Kincaid, Jeffrey Snook and Jonah Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky and Gary Kincaid, Charles David McCormick, Charles Hess and Edward Wiseman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939.
