Grace Frances Folks, 75, of Oxon Hill, MD died Sunday, Nov. 15,1987 at her residence.
She was born May 2,1912 in Highland County, Va., a daughter of Charles Pinkney and Rita Varner Houlihan.
She was a member of National Church of God of Oxon Hill and Gray Panthers Senior Citizens.
Her husband, Boyd Elihue Folks, died Dec. 17,1981; and she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Moore.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rita Moroney of Clinton and Mrs. Patsy Meadows of Wanentan, Va.; three sons, Charles T. and Boyd E., both of Waldorf Md., and Ray C. Folks of Clinton; four sisters, Mrs. Hattie Thompson of Churchville, Va., Mrs. Basel Cobb of Baltimore, Mrs. Georgia Cardell of Orange, Va., and Mrs. Elsie Rogers of Woodstock, Va.; two brothers, Charles of College Park and Glen Houlihan of Staunton, Va.; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A service was held 8 p.m Wednesday in the National Church of God in Oxon Hill and her body was taken to Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, Va., Wednesday night and a service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday in Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church, Mustoe, by the Rev. Ivan Young, with burial in Hamilton Chapel Cemetery.
