Grayson Chaplin

WARM SPRINGS Grayson Chase Chaplin, infant son of Patrick Levi and Emily Jean (Bennett) Chaplin passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born December 1, 2015 at Augusta Health. Surviving family members include his parents; his sister, Shiann Taylor Chaplin of the home; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Deseray Chaplin of Bacova; maternal grandmother, Carrie Chestnut and husband, Robbie of Hot Springs; maternal grandfather, Richard Bennett and wife, Denise of Covington; paternal great-grandparents, Hansel and Phyllis Ryder of Warm Springs; maternal great-grandfather, Elmer Wolfe of Hot Springs and paternal great-great-grandmother, Sis Ryder of Warm Springs. Additionally, he is survived by two aunts, Rebecca Chaplin of Warm Springs and Hope Bennett of Hot Springs; multiple great-aunts and great-uncles and many cousins. Grayson was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Annie Wolfe. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Warm Springs Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Charles Reed officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Chaplin Family, c/o Patrick and Emily, P.O. Box 164, Warm Springs, VA 24484, to help offset unexpected medical expenses.
