Haley Renee Warner, age 26, of Lillian, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
Haley was born April 24, 2000, in Harrisonburg, Va., the daughter of Erica John Whitelaw of Lillian and Tony Trent Warner of Blue Grass, Va.
Haley attended Highland High School through her Junior year and graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 2018.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and a Biology minor from Mary Baldwin University in 2022. Haley was an accomplished artist, known for her vibrant and individualistic style. Haley put her heart and soul into life, her family, her friends, her animals, her work, and her art. Her talent for drawing and creating was apparent even from a young age.
Haley loved deeply, always trying to be there for all the people in her life. She loved her family dearly and cared for her friends as if they were her family too. She gave the best snuggles in the world and will be remembered for her laughter, the way she lit up every room she walked into, and her perfect eye makeup. Her love for everyone in her life was endless and her energy was contagious. Our free-spirited child, Haley was wild, reckless, and fun - she will be greatly missed by so many.
She is preceded in death by little sister, Elizabeth Ann Whitelaw; infant brother, Trenton John Warner; and great-grandparents, Maurice and Delores Woodward.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, is Haley’s partner and other-half in life, Samson Schang of Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Sadie Warner of Lillian, Cynthia Warner of Monterey, Va., and Alyssa Whitelaw and family of Waynesboro, Va.; brothers, Lucas Mullenax of WVa. and Andrew Whitelaw and family of Staunton, Va.; her second-father, Aaron Whitelaw of Lillian; maternal grandparents, John and Suzanne Simmons of Blue Grass, Va.; paternal grandparents, Hal and Barbara Warner of Blue Grass, Va.; uncle, Joshua (Sarah) Simmons of Blue Grass, Va.; aunt, Amy (Bob) Chenard of Sarasota, Fla.; aunt, Tara Warner of Blue Grass, Va.; cousin, Lexie of Sarasota Fla., cousin, Mary Kaytlin Horner (Alec) of Franklin, WVa.; cousin, Mikie Lambert of Sugar Grove WVa.; special friend, Crissy Marie Burke of Churchville, Va.; as well as numerous other cousins, great uncles and aunts, extended family, and friends that loved her dearly.
