Harlan Eugene Moyers

Harlan Eugene Moyers, 61, of Moyers, WV died Monday, May 27, 1991 at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg. 

He was born March 6, 1930 at Moyers, a son of Albert Floyd and Amanda Florence (Stinnett) Moyers.

On September 24, 1981 he married Velda Propst Moyers.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Temple of Brunswick, Ohio. He had served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War and was a member of the Sugar Grove VFW Post 9666.

He retired after 30 years of service from General Motors in Parma, Ohio/

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Bret Moyers of Parma, Oho; a stepson, Charles Propst of Mineral; five sisters, Retha Propst of Moyers, Myrtle and Sylvia Moyers, bother of Mechanicsburg, PA, Julia Beaner of Lancaster, PA and Anna Ruth Allen of Palas Verdes, CA; a brother, John Moyers of Middleburgh, OH; one grandson, four step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service was conducted 11 a.m., Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home by Pastor Raymond Seay with burial in the Moyers Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nathan, Ricky, Burton and Gary Propst, and Herbert and Everett Pitsenbarger.
