Harmon Irving Wilson, Jr. 64, of Staunton, died Wednesday morning, January 23, 1988 at McGuire Veteran's Hospital in Richmond.
He was born November 25,1923 at Doe Hill, a son of Louella Siron and Harmon Irving Wilson, Sr.
He was a member of Port Republic United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Chandler of Port Republic; six sons, William I. of Waynesboro, Gerald W. of Verona, David L. of Staunton, Samuel L. of Verona and Harmon M. and Alfred E. Wilson, both of Staunton; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Shumate of McDowell, Mrs. Edith Bishop of Fishersville, Mrs. Mabel Bussard of Monterey and Mrs.Laura Beverage, of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; one brother, Warren Wilson of Charlottesville; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A service was conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Obangh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Mike Childress. Burial was in Doe Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alfred Armstrong, William Armstrong, Josiah Armstrong, Curtis Clifton, Charles Hupman and Lewis Shumate.
