Harry Henry Brown, 80, of Burnsville, passed away Thursday morning, April 27, 1989 at Bath County Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1909, in Culpeper, a son of James H. and Annie E. Brown
He had made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Grady Roberts Sr. for the past nine months. He attended the Presbyterian Church and ws the caretaker of the Highland Hunt Club for 33 years. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by a sister, Virginia Frier of Roanoke; nephew, Robbie Frier; and a great-niece.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday in Burnsville United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Haymaker, with burial in Burnsville Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Allen, Grady Roberts Jr., Same Ervin Jr., David Neil, Larry Smith and Warren Burns.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Schurtz, Richard Roberts Sr. and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
