Harry Burnard Whitlock Sr., 76, of Greenville died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Veterans Administration medical Center in Richmond.
He was born September 20, 1927 at Goshen, a son of the late Harry L. and Maggie C. Campbell Whitlock.
On September 18, 1948, he married Judith Losh.
Mr. Whitlock was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church in Fairfield. He was a truck driver for John Mansville Trucking Co. before he became ill. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Massie and Clara Hemp, and two brothers, an infant and Charles W. Whitlock.
He is survived by his wife, Judith L. Whitlock of Greenville and four sons and three daughters-in-law, Harry B. Jr. and Brenda Whitlock of Staunton, Gary W. Whitlock of Baltimore, Md., Larry D. and Patricia Whitlock of Staunton and Terry L. and Debora Whitlock of Quinton; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two special friends, Gary Palmer and Lyle Sweet.
A graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Oak Lawn Memory Garden by the Rev. Phillip Mace.
