Henry Brown

Henry D. Brown, 76, of Monterey, died on Thursday, June 18, 1998 at his residence
He was born on February 11, 1922, at Boardman, N.C., a son of Henry O. and Blanche (Williamson) Brown.
He was a member of United Church of Christ, Norfolk. He served in the Navy as an aviation equipment specialist, He was a member of Norview Masonic Lodge 113, Norfolk and Highland Masonic Lodge 110. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Surviving are his wife, Nellie Amelia (Holtman) Brown of Monterey; two sons, Gary C. of Richmond and Donald F. Brown of Portsmouth; a brother, H.O. Brown Jr. of Chesapeaker; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The body will be cremated and a memorial service held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Green Hill United Methodist Church, Monterey, Va. 24465 or a charity of choice.
