Homer Clark Smith

Homer Clark Smith, 85, of Sugar Grove died Sunday evening (Feb. 3, 1991) in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born Feb. 20, 1905 in Sugar Grove, a son of Martin and Maggie (Puffenbarger) Smith. Smith was a farmer and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. He had been a resident of Pendleton County Nursing Home for five years.

He is survived by a sister, Lena Wilfong of Bridgewater; a brother, Riley Smith of Dayton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday in Calvary Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Lee. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Nieces will serve as honorary pallbearers.
