Hugh Elbert Pullin Sr., 86, of Staunton died Friday evening, September 13, 1992 at Springs Nursing Home, Hot Springs.
He was born February 12, 1905 at McDowell, a son of Frank and Bertha (Wooddell) Pullin.
On June 3, 1936 he married Nellie Cale, who died April 16, 1972.
He was retired from Virginia Department of Transportation and was a member of Hebron Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Hugh Elbert Jr. and David Pullin, both of Staunton; four grandchildren, Christ and Julie Pullin, Sue Redifer and Phyllis Deloa; a great-grandson, Ryan Deloa; four sisters, Mary C. Pullin and Annabell Simmons, both of Staunton and Vada Tuning of Churchville and Lenora Hook of Waynesboro; two brothers, Burton and Theodore Pullin, both of Staunton.
Mr. Pullin was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Brenda Pullin; a sister, Bertie Parsons; and two brothers, Marvin F. and Melvin Pullin.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Thornrose Cemetery by the Rev. Harold Shiflet.
