Janet Grant

The funeral for Janet Ruth Lockridge Grant, 88, of Lake Wylie, S.C. and formerly of McDowell will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.

The Rev. Timothy Strock will conduct the service. Burial will be in the Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.

Mrs. Grant died December 13, 1995, at the home of her daughter in South Carolina.

She was born September 22, 1907, in Highland County and was the daughter of Ernest and Hattie Pullin Lockridge.

She was a member of the McDowell United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.

Her husband, Roy Grant, died July 18, 1991.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Hevener, Lake Wylie, S.C.; three sons, Charles William and Roy Lee Grant, both of McDowell and Gene Grant, Swoope; one brother, Charles Lockridge, Saxe; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
