Jared Frank Lamb

Jared Frank Lamb, 96, of McDowell died Thursday evening, October 11, 1990 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

He was born December 29, 1893 at McDowell, a son of Peter and Radie (Malcolm) Lamb.

He wife, Mary (Hiner) Lamb, died January 25, 1981.

He was a member of McDowell United Methodist Church, had served in the Army in World War I and was retired from J.B. Tiffey and Son building firm in Washington, D.C.

Surviving are a daughter, Jean Hoover of Stafford; a son, Jack Lamb of McDowell; a sister, Mary Botkin of Staunton; and two brothers, William and Ernest Lamb, both of Staunton; two grandchildren, Martha Hupman of Churchville and Jerry Hoover of Head Waters; and three-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Henty Stuart and Glen Lamb, and two sisters, Lena Lane and Maddie Siron.

A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve McMillion, with burial at McKendree Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Benny Armstrong, James and Pat Lamb, Bobby Neil and Bill Huffman.
