Katherine Barkley Doyle

Katherine Barkley Doyle, 61, of Monterey, died Sunday, April 24, 1994 in Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 25, 1932 in Blue Grass, a daughter of Alfred Lester and Almeda Hedrick Barkley.

She was a seamstress at the Aileen Sewing Plant in Monterey for 21 years and for a number of years at the Jessico plant.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Ann McCarty of Frost, WV; two sons, Dallas Ray Doyle Jr. of Monterey and Donald Wayne Doyle of Broadway; three sisters, Betty Wolfe of Monterey, Phyllis Jean Barkely and Patsy Ann Reedy, both of Broadway; a brother, Walter Henry Barkley of Broadway; and one granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with a memorial service by Rev. David Rittenhouse following at 8 p.m.

The burial will be private.
