Kyle Ratcliff

Kyle Kenton Ratcliff, 81, of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at The Springs Nursing Center.

He was born April 15, 1930 in Williamsville, a son of the late Wayland E. and Edith McLaughlin Ratcliff.

Mr. Ratcliff was a member of Ashwood United Methodist Church. He had worked for Lindsay Water Services; Carl Gutshall Plumbing; the Fassifern Farm; and Boiling Springs Rod and Gun Club, where he was a caretaker for 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie Hodge Ratcliff, whom he married April 27, 1963; special niece, Myra Lowry; niece, Ellen Marie Brown; and special nephews, Billy Pritt, Charles Waybright, Gary Waybright and Richard Waybright; and nephews Eugene Ratcliffe and Allen Ratcliff.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Waybright and Romaine Ratcliff; and two brothers, Roy Ratcliff and Mack Ratcliffe.

A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, April 13, at Ashwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lynn Wright and the Rev. David Ford officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ashwood United Methodist Church, c/o Betty Harold, 128 Carloover Village Drive, Hot Springs, Va. 24445.
