Lawson Brown Chestnut, 78, of Hillsboro, WV died Wednesday morning, June 21, 1989 in Humana Greenbrier Valley Hospital.
He was born December 28, 1919 at Mill Gap, Va., a son of James Anderson and Edith Wade Chestnut. His wife, Elizabeth Marie Chestnut, died May 15, 1985.
He was a member of the Green Hill United Methodist Church, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of FW Post 1987 in Painsville, Ohio.
Survivors include a sister, Irene Walker of Colorado Springs, Co.; a brother, Eugene Chestnut of Hillsboro, WV, and a member of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by Dr. Robert Gue. Burial will be in the Wade Cemetery.
Pallbearers will befriends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 Saturday night at the funeral home in McDowell.
