Lenora Belle Botkin

Lenora Belle Botkin, 74, of McDowell died early Thursday morning, October 29, 1987 at King's Daughters' Hospital. 

She was born May 15,1913 at McDowell, a daughter of Berlin and Grace Ralston Hammer. 

She was a member of McDowell United Methodist Church and the Women of the Church. 

On April 15, 1940, she married Other W. Botkin, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Dale Botkin of McDowell; a sister, Mrs. Mona H. Robertson of Warm Springs; two grandsons, Joseph and James Botkin, at home; two nephews, one great-niece; four great-nephews and several cousins. 

A funeral service was conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Bernard Skeens and the Rev. John Garber. Burial was in the McKendree Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be John Hammer, John Maynard Hammer, Benny Armstrong, James Blankenship, Charles Terry and Benny Ralston.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Scaboo, Joe Arch Armstrong, Larry Simmons, Glen Bishop, Boyd Siron, Lester, Dennis Aldern, Marvin, Woodrow and Dennis Botkin, Bob Ralston, Billy Grant, Dick Hiner, Pat and Ernest Lamb, Roy Robertson, Ben Alred and Carl and Dean Moyers.

The family will receive friends at the home of Dale Botkin or at the funeral home at any time.
