Lottie Woods Slaven, 92, of Monterey passed away Wednesday morning, December 20, 1989 at Pendleton Nursing Home, Franklin, WV.

She was born September 24, 1897 in Highland County, a daughter of the late John Robert and Betty Jane (Hamilton) Woods.

She was a member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church and the Women's Church Circle. Before entering the nursing home, she lived with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Moyers.

She is survived by a daughter, Rita McNeil of Arlington; and brother, Jennings Wood of Hot Springs.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Woods.

A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Jerry Ginn and C. William Cox, with burial in Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Carlton Hull, Swanson Dowling, Robin Sullenberger, Gene Moyers, Jim Stephenson and Sterling Hise.

The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the Gene Moyers residence.
