Louie Remeth Ralston

Louie Remeth Ralston, 89, of Monterey died Tuesday (April 23, 1991) at Richfield Nursing Center, Salem.

He was born Juner5, 1901 at McDowell, a son of Henry and Leona (Gregory) Ralston.

On Dec. 22, 1927, he married Mazie Robertson, a resident of Monterey and who now resides at Richfield Nursing Center.

He was a member of Wesley Chapel Advent Christian Church and was retired from Virginia Hot Springs Co.

Mr. Ralston was preceded in death by a son, Charles L. Ralston, June, 17, 1989 and a half- brother, Roland May.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Louis Hevener of Hightown; a son, Merdith Ralston of Salem; and four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service was conducted at 2. p.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Jerry Ginn and C. William Cox, with burial at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Mustoe.

Pallbearers will be Paul Doyle, James Hiner, James Varner, Clem Kincaid, Roy Gutshall Jr., Ronnie White and Mack and Eugene Ratcliffe.
