Lucille Swartz

Lucille Lillian Swartz, 92, of Bolar, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the home of her son, Marty Swartz in Manning, SC. She was born November 22, 1915 in Bath County a daughter of the late John B. and Zella Lillian (Eakle) Cobb.
Mrs. Swartz was a member of Starr Bolar United Methodist Church. She was a great homemaker and a wonderful cook and had owned and operated Bolar Springs Pool.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marty James Swartz, Sr.; two sisters, Marie A. Reavis and Laura F. Barnes; two brothers, George Elmo Cobb and Ralph B. Cobb and a foster brother, William Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti L. Millican and her husband, Roland of Manakin-Sabot, VA; a son, Marty J. Swartz, Jr. and his wife, Carole S. of Manning, SC; three grandchildren, Marti Millican, Terry D. Swartz and Sondra L. Stockton and two great-grandchildren, Bradley and Kelly Stockton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Byong Ahn. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
